Greeting, Ushering, and Hospitality

Greeting, ushering, and serving with our Hospitality Committee are great low-time-commitment ways to become active in the life of our church.

Greeting is an especially good way for our newer members to get to know our FPCRO family! Greeters begin welcoming members and visitors into our sanctuary about 20 minutes before the start of the 10:30 service on Sunday mornings. If you would like to join our "Greeter Brigade", please contact Barbara Hayes at

Ushers distribute worship bulletins to our members and visitors as they enter the Evans Chapel or the Sanctuary and, if they wish, escort them to their seats. Ushers also collect the offering during the service, and after the service collect the sign-in sheets from the friendship pads. If you would like to serve as an usher, please contact Gerry Snider at

Our Hospitality Committee, along with our Facility Manager Alan Glasel, does the work that makes events at FPCRO run so smoothly! This includes hosting and setting up coffee hour on Sunday mornings, church dinners and funeral luncheons, and receptions after special church events. While the Hospitality Committee is chaired by an Elder from our Board of Session and is composed in part of other Board of Session members, any member of the congregation is welcome and encouraged to join them. Even if your schedule only permits you to assist the Committee on occasion, your service to the church will be greatly appreciated! Please contact Hospitality Committee Chair Barbara Hayes (  if you are interested.
